Brinks didn’t disappoint! And get the fingerprint reader!
Brinks is a great brand and it shows in this product. It works very well with the keypad, fingerprint, or even the 2 keys included, although I have never carried them since installing this. It’s such a great value compared to other costly options and no need for a subscription.I’m so happy I decided on the fingerprint reader option! It’s so easy to use and great when your hands are full. Love that you can program multiple combinations and fingerprints. It’s easy to add or remove the codes and fingerprints or reset the system to start over again.I was worried about self-installing but found the instructions very easy to follow. I had a question on programming and was able to reach a live, friendly person late on a Sunday through the Brinks 800 number listed in the instructions.Now we don’t have to carry keys when we travel! It’s the luxury item I didn’t realize I needed.

It is a great lock! It is easy to install! The programming takes a minute. You have to set the button code and then the finger print code. You can add up to 10 finger prints! Mine works great the prints after mine aren’t working. I will have to reset them. The positive is that they can still use the code! It is quiet and opens easily! ! Looks great! Great price ans well! Over all, I like it!

Great Door Lock
Installation was it’s super easy and works as advertised. Fingerprint reader can be a little challenging, and sometimes multiple attempts are needed to unlock. This is pretty typical, and did that stop us from buying a second one.

Fingerprint reader doesn’t work.
Finger reader gets ONE star, but otherwise the product works as designed. I have an ADD teenager that will leave the house at all hours and never remembers to lock the door. It’s a bit scary tbh because we’ve had strangers just walk up and try to open our door. I’m thankful that I found this product. It can be set to lock itself after a set amount of time so now our doors are always locked. Getting back in is a bit tricky though. The finger reader stopped reading mine or my mother’s prints, even when I reprogram our fingers it will stop working within one to three days. I’m three out of three, meaning I’ve installed three of these locks and all three have this same issue. Anyway, my teen has better luck with the reader, but it’s unpredictable which is a problem because they come home at hours when the rest of us are asleep, and their ADD brain won’t let them remember the number to punch instead (even though that number was picked by them – gotta love that nurospicy brain). So overall I would recommend but save some money and get the one without the fingerprint reader.

Super convenient!
Had to trim up the door so that the strike sits flush with the edge of the door, and make the hole a little bigger. After doing that, everything works perfectly. These don’t have a whole lot of torque, so it’ll jam up anything binds or rubs as it’s trying to lock or unlock. This is expected with pretty much any door lock.As for the setup, it’s exactly like our old Brinks deadbolt which only had a keypad- you have to do a “key dance” for programming, which the instructions will walk you through. Once it’s set up, you shouldn’t have to mess with it. Fingerprint reader is spot on every single time, regardless of the angle. Very impressed with that!

Lock didn’t work, but excellent customer service
The locked was easy to install and locked nice. However, I could not get the lock or the replacement lock to work. The customer service representative was nice, knowledgeable, and helpful, but her suggestions could not overcome either the mechanical or software flaws. I ended up returning the product and re-i stalling the original manual lock…that works.

You have to look around to find a serial number or something before you can program it
It works good, but the instructions don’t tell you that after you program your numbers in it, you have to push the lock button to make it unlocked. I didn’t see where it said that.

I like these units so much I kept buying more. The biometric lets you pick and finger and it is pretty reliable. I haven’t tested the battery life but I love the timer as well before relocking. Handy if you just want to walk out and walk away without worrying if you locked up or not. Super convenient to just place a finger of your choice on the reader and gain entry. No complaints, works well and the instructions were thorough. Not online at all which is what we preferred for this application.

After trying 2 smart key locks from Amazon that died in approximately 6 months each we decided NO MORE and got this brinks one! It feels heavy duty. The instructions are a bit confusing if you never used this type of lock but once I realized the #s meant on the lock keypad it made more sense. Each sequence for setting up users etc seems long but it’s very easy. I installed it in about 10 mins then took about 10 more for me to grasp the instructions lol (hoping that’s because it was late at night haha) then I was able to set up multiple fingerprints and codes for the family :)Hoping brinks lasts far longer than the other ridiculous ones we bought as I’m tired of throwing away money.

Not any fancy lock, but all the functions works very well. Set up work is very complicated as an 10 years ago product. But after setting up done, this lock worked perfectly.

This lock unit is very nice looking and looked easy to put in, but it took my contractor and a friend about two hours to finally get it working only with the thanks of calling the customer service line which was totally helpful as it was so complicated to program, but it’s working fine so far
