Quiet, Stable, and Officially Powered by Unraid
This LincStation N2 has been an excellent addition to my home setup. What really makes it stand out is that it’s officially powered by Unraid, which is an amazing system for home use. Setup was straightforward, and it’s been rock-solid for media streaming and file sharing — far more stable than my Windows sharing solution. That is why use a NAS!Running all SSDs, the system is whisper-quiet and very energy-efficient. It’s perfect for 24/7 use without adding noise or heat, and the sleek design looks great next to my networking gear. I also love the flexibility of Unraid, which makes it easy to expand and run apps as my needs grow.Another bonus is the USB 3.2 Gen2 port. I plugged in an external SSD and was able to share it across the house instantly — super convenient for quick access.BTW, customer service is reliable, answered my questions in a few hours!Overall, this is a reliable and modern NAS that combines great hardware with the power of Unraid. If you want something quiet, efficient, and officially supported by Unraid, the LincStation N2 is a fantastic choice.

Great quiet durable fast NAS – love it so much
I had LincStation N1 before, it works great, now bought LincStation N2 and use my N1 as 2nd offsite backup. Love this small, quiet NAS. You can hide it anywhere, not take up space at all. Very durable, easy install, comes with unraid license. If you don’t like it, you can install TrueNAS. I played with both NAS OS before I finally settled it with Unraid, it work great for both. Little bit pricy, but it worth the price. Since it use all SSD, the speed is super fast, no any legging.

Not great, but not bad. I will be keeping it.
The LincStation N2 is great for me, as I had some 4TB SSDs, and several 1TB nvmes, sitting around that I wanted to use. Unraid works well in a scenario where drives are different sizes, as is easy to get set up. No crashes yet either! I have 3 synology servers, and the port options on this are far more functional. I like having HDMI to have a small LCD showing realtime server stats. I put trueNAS on the internal drive to test out OS performance but ended up sticking with unraid. Price almost deterred me from getting this; they ask for significantly more than most N100 specialized components.Biggest drawback: it runs a little warmer than I want, even in a well ventilated server rack. Also, I don’t think the system will ever max out the 10Gb connection due how many pcie lanes each drive gets.

Good NAS with Expansion Options
It delivers good speed by its Intel quad-core processor and giga networking. Its multiple bay configuration, supporting versatile versions of drives, offers flexibility for various storage needs. The good size of memory ensures smooth multitasking without lag, even during high resolution video streaming. Installation was straightforward, and the device runs quietly while keeping cool under heavy workloads. It is a solid choice for home office users.

A problematic adventure
TLDR:a supposedly new product had white flakes that looked suspiciously like dandruff in the right hand nvme compartment, the sata bay and around the outside of the unit (though the left hand bays were pristine. The pre-installed unraid OS Image was so out of date, that even after setting the clock (which itself broke many websites (and this is used and configure through a web browser, even if using the builtin hdmi and usb for a keyboard)) that getting anything to work was a fools folly as the ssl cert had expired, and they gave instructions how to self issue a new one but that too failed; after a bunch of troubleshooting though I was able to update it to the latest version and that fixed the rest of these sorts of issues.initial testing and config was done with 2 nvme drive in place (I wanted to confirm functionality of the nvme slots that had previously been caked with what looked like dandruff and had been cleaned by me with a q-tip and alcohol). When the unit was power off, and an additional 2 NVME drives added (for a total of 4) and the bios changed to auto power on after a power loss and the bios clock corrected… The unit will not stay powered on; between 45seconds and 5 minutes (even in the bios menu, a not-power intensive, ostensibly stable environment) the unit will suddenly power off as if either the cpu overheated, or the power supply was demanded above its rating (I am not sure which, but either would result in this kind of instant ‘off’) but as the bios was previously set to power on automatically it comes back on and then 45sec-5min later repeat.I am hopeful my unit is a dud, and to that end I will be seeking a replacement, The not yet executed replacement process, and the unit they hopefully would come out of that may have the opportunity to raise this score. This is a good price for a product I //WANT// to like but so far this is batting a thousand in the bad direction…

Quiet and Efficient NAS with Solid Performance
The LincStation N2 runs very quietly and uses little power, which makes it perfect to keep on 24/7. The Intel N100 processor is more than enough for file storage, media streaming, and daily NAS tasks. With flexible storage options and 10GbE networking, it’s a great balance of performance and efficiency.

Powerful, Quiet, and Ideal for a Home Server Setup
This NAS has been a huge upgrade to my home setup. I really love the UI of raid OS.The chip runs surprisingly smooth, and with 16GB LPDDR5, multitasking between file transfers, Plex, and Docker containers feels effortless. I love the combination of 2 SATA bays plus 4 NVMe slots it gives a lot of flexibility for mixing large-capacity drives with fast caches. The 10g port is the real highlight: transfers are insanely fast when connected to a matching switch, and it makes editing files directly from the NAS much more practical. Setup was straightforward thanks to the clean interface, and it runs quietly even under load. The 4K HDMI output is a nice bonus for direct monitoring or turning it into a tiny home server.Overall, it feels solidly built, efficient, and perfect for anyone wanting a powerful NAS for media, backups, or even lightweight virtualization.
