Excellent choice
Easy to install and set up. The unit is well made and seems durable. I bought a second unit after receiving the first one. The fingerprint recognition is an excellent feature. The ability to assign multiple users is also very useful. The wi-fi connectivity is reliable.Unfortunately the second one was not working properly. Not an issue, a quck call to customer service and within 2 days I had a fully functional replacement unit.Recomend not only the product but the company for being responsive.

This is an AMAZING lock!
This smart lock is amazing! First, it took under 30 minutes to install and set up the wi-fi and finger print sensor. I have used other smart locks from the big brands but they don’t compare to the functionality this lock offers. For starters, the user-friendly app maintains a log every time the lock is initialized. For added security, I embedded the Ultraloq door sensor into the frame and love that it automatically locks when the door is closed. The fingerprint recognition works most of the time and probably as well as my phone reader. I coupled the U-Bolt Pro with their pull handle and now I have the perfect security solution. Customer service is exceptional! They quickly helped trouble shoot an issue and they even sent a replacement keypad. Don’t hesitate to buy.

Easy to install and use.
Came quickly, easy to install, works as advertised, lock and handle look and feel like a good quality. Finger print works great. You can put multiple codes in the lock and give them names. When someone uses the lock the app shows who came in. We put this on our vacation condo so we have only used it for a week but it worked great.

my second purchase of this look, Works great for family to have access for figure print, my boys don’t need to carry around keys while out playing. ease of installation and connecting to app. Only issue is my older unit the outside unit key access door opens if boys slam the door. Nice lock company that stands behind there product
I bought this lock in August, easy directions to get it installed and programmed. Looks good feels sturdy reads the fingerprints good but occasionally it won’t read just gave to wipe the screen and it’s back to working. I did have a battery issue once December hit with some real cold temps draining the batteries faster than it should, Ultraloq responded within an hr of me emailing to help figure out what the problem was and how to get it fixed. They sent me a replacement part that was acting up and now it’s back to working like it should.

Stopped working after 2 weeks
I bought 2 of these. Both showed not connected to wifi when i tried setting up. But both were responding over internet. However, in the app they continue to say Wi-Fi disconnected. That wasn’t the biggest issue – because it was continuing to work for about 2 weeks then the one lock just totally stopped responding via Wi-Fi if. I turned my Bluetooth off it wouldn’t respond at all. It stopped auto locking, the green unlock light stopped. Only manual and blue tooth locking is working. I called tech support for the company. They got they got the other door showing as wifi connected, but the 2nd one wouldn’t . I asked for updat in the ticket.. they asked me to reiterate the issue with videos. So I sent videos and it’s been 3 days and I’ve yet to get any kind of response for them. So I have a lock that doesn’t work through Wi-Fi it doesn’t auto lock and it doesn’t have the light showing on it and I’m past my Amazon return date. I’m not impressed with this.

Poor battery performance
Purchased the U-Bolt Pro WiFi smart lock on September 23, 2025, and was initially excited about the features and security. However, I am extremely disappointed with the battery performance. In less than three weeks, the lock is already showing a low battery warning, which is completely unacceptable for a device in this price range and category.Battery Life IssuesDespite claims of 3-6 months of battery life (or even longer under normal conditions), my experience has been drastically different. Many other users have reported similar battery drain problems, with some seeing batteries last only weeks or even days, particularly with WiFi enabled. It’s clear there is a widespread issue, and even the manufacturer’s forums are filled with complaints about rapid battery depletion.Disappointing for Smart Home UsePart of the appeal of a WiFi-connected smart lock is the convenience, but having to replace AA batteries this frequently defeats the purpose. The lock is supposed to provide security and simplicity, not become another maintenance headache. Even though the app warns about low battery, getting this alert so soon after installation is highly frustrating.Summary:Would not recommend this lock if strong battery life is important. Look elsewhere until/if the severe battery drain issue is addressed by the manufacturer. For a device installed for less than a month to already need new batteries is simply not acceptable

Move on, terrible product. They constantly lose communication with wifi and Bluetooth. Auto unlock has yet to work. Everyday I have to manually relink with the wifi server and Bluetooth. Autolock doesn’t lock until I’m server blocks away, minimum distant for auto lock is 300 meters which is a few city blocks, that is very poor security. The product seems to be solid and well made but the automation settings are very poorly thought out and rarely work. They are extremely expensive manual deadbolts. Customer service was of no help at all.

The Smart Lock and U-Home App are good!.The U-Tech customer service is even better – Unfortunately the first lock stopped working, but was replaced swiftly.So far, the replacement lock has worked without problems – My only criticism is that a Brand New product was replaced with what appears to be a refurbished unit. I will keep this review updated to more accurately reflect the buyer experience with U-Tech.
