Gorgeous, Lightweight, Western Inspired Equestrian Riding Helmet
This equestrian riding helmet is gorgeous! I bought it while on sale and I couldn’t be happier! It fits perfect based on your cowboy hat size and its lightweight! And I could not beat the price anywhere! I’ve never ridden with a helmet, but as I’ve gotten into my 60s, I’ve become more safety conscious, especially considering some of the unpredictable wrecks horsemen and woman can get into. If you are a lover of western attire, this is a great option to protect your valuable head and its contents in case of an unexpected fall off your horse.

Beautiful and comfortable!
I typically have always gotten the lower priced, cheaper helmets and went hard back-and-forth on getting this one due to the price, even going so far as to place the order and immediately cancel it. But I am so glad I talked myself into getting it, thinking that it’s returnable if it wasn’t absolutely fantastic. Needless to say I absolutely will NOT be returning this helmet. It is not only more beautiful than the pictures depicted, when I put it on, it was instantly comfortable and I didn’t even want to take it off__ there’s a neck support that feels heavenly! So especially for those gals that at the end of the day after a long ride that take their helmet off, much as they would take their bra off after immediately returning home after a long day of work, this is absolutely, indisputably the helmet for you! * And as for the cost, well, safety is massively important within equestrian activities and a hospital visit or long care facility due to brain damage is much more expensive ;-)…and for anyone whose significant others might not be an agreement with that mentality, just tell them you had Amazon points!

Nice helmet. But…
Really nice helmet with stylish design. I was a bit saddened, that Troxel forgot the purpose of the groove around the back of the helmet, which was for goggle straps. It was a nice feature on the Intrepid helmet which I have in black. It would be as nice feature, for your design team, to put back in the design of future helmets.

Runs Small?
I followed Troxel’s measurements prior to ordering and the helmet fit in the area that I was told to measure but narrowed toward the top of the head causing uncomfortable pressure points. It may just be my scull shape.Love the look of the helmet so I returned it and ordered a size up and it can be adjusted to almost fit on the smallest size. I’m going to keep it but I wish the skull cap was a bit more rounded.

It seemed plain in the pics but its actually gorgeous in person. True to size. I have a round head and its so comfortable I have forgotten it was on before.Looks great when riding western or trail riding. Lots of compliments on it too. I hope they keep making this design. Every time I fall in love with a design Troxel discontinues it. Excellent stitching and takes abuse. Lasts and protects.
