4K True Full-Color Night Vision: Capture 4K UHD images and videos that are bursting with clarity, color, and defined detail from day to night. The lens with F1.0 super aperture captures 4x more lights than coventional F2.0 ones. With 1/1.8″ image sensor, it processes lights with higher sensitivity to form vibrant images at night. Paired with powerful ISP module, CX820 reproduces the night without any color distortion.
Advanced HDR Technology: Experience superior image clarity with HDR. Compared with SDR, HDR brings out more vivid colors, with brighter highlights and richer shadows, delivering true-to-life visuals day or night. With HDR magic, every scene is captured just as your eyes see it.
Smart Detection & Multi-Layered Alerts: Stay ahead of potential threats with AI detection, capable of detecting human, vehicle, and animal movement. Say goodbye to false alarms. By customizing siren and light alerts, you can warn off intruders with your preset voice messages and varying levels of intense light based your needs.
3000K Warm Lights & 4 Modes: With powerful 3000K warm lights, all details are captured in vivid colors even in low light. The warm lights support 4 modes: Auto Mode, Smart Mode, Off Mode, and Timer Mode. Select the one that best suits your needs and ensure optimal performance in any setting.
Easy PoE Setup: Enjoy plug and play connection with Power over Ethernet technology. Plug in one cable and you are good to go for reliable data and power transfer. Feel free to record 24/7 with various storage options, such as microSD card up to 512GB, NVR HDD, FTP server. Note: Power adapter is not included.

Great camera for the price but with caveats
Get it for $109 and the price is right. You have to understand that while reolink makes a solid product they are different than your other security camera offerings. Imo reolink offers a reliable and quality product that is aimed to simplify the user experience. You’re not going to find a ton of settings to tweak you’re going to get the basics and the camera is going to do what it’s advertised to do. It will run 4k and good bitrate with low latency and if optimized correctly , no dropped frames. If you only need a clear image with low light this is a great bang for buck offering. My other cameras that do this (and have multiple high resolutions across multiple sub streams and more options cost twice as much as least. But again for the price and the use case this is a great camera just know the limitations). For example shutter, exposure , gain etc you won’t get that fine granular control you might expect from cameras like dahua/empiretech, amcrest, hikvision etc. If you’re running an nvr such as frigate like I am you’re going to be limited compared to other offerings. That’s not to say this camera isn’t good, it’s good for what it is aimed to provide, a low light color image at an affordable price. So for me this particular camera was purchased for a section of the home to monitor an 84 year old with a hip and c1 fracture in the neck. I purchased this camera because I needed best bang for the buck for day and night clarity without creepy infrared glow during the night and this camera delivers a crystal clear pic during the day albeit some hard to tune white light balance (lack of control) and a reasonably clear nightine image with only a tiny nightlight on in the room (pretty phenomenal) and since reolink only offers 640×360 I had to manage my expectations in regard to face recognition for my automations and thus I have utilized the main stream for live view and detect (1600×900) In the frigate config and the sub stream for recording (I don’t need hi res recordings from this particular camera) so for my use case this worked out.I did tinker a bit with the cameras onboard ai/detect features and compared to frigate they are laughable.Home assistant is also a great pairing with this camera due to great Intergration support which at the least when combined with frigate will give you control over fully off led lamp Motion automations to fire like they should unlike the app which does provide this but with the exception of the led always being on. Not good if you don’t like bugs. So, if you need a great color low light camera without infrared, with minimal control but easy to setup and without multiple or higher res sub streams then 100% this is a great but for the price but if you need more control and features there are much better options out there empiretech t54ir is a fantastic camera and their full color model is excellent but be prepared to pay twice as much as this easy to setup low light 4k camera. The cx820 is a solid buy as long as you know what you are getting and what you won’t get.

great night vision video
The best night vision security camera for the buck. I put this on my garage gable and i do get a bit of light its not pitch dark but the camera makes it look like day time and there is not the ghost effect that you see on some of the reviews. you might get the ghost effect if the light is really really low, but you just need a tiny bit of light and the color vision work awesome with this camera. its not a true pitch dark camera, but some motion solar supplemental lights and this thing rocks.

Amazing Night Color
Awesome camera! I replaced an older 820 and wanted the colorX and needed it in a dome. Got this when it came out and boom took one down and put it up and was amazed at night when I was able to see full color at night with no spot lights needed. I do have a street light by it so it helps and why I don’t need the spotlight on. Line crossing feature is a great addition besides the motion detection.

Great images! Some difficulties and disappointments but it works great for my needs.
I have 4 other ReoLinks and love them. I decided to get one to monitor our front door.Pros:1. Very clear image. Even better than the TrackMix I have mounted next to it.2. The sensor is double the size as most other ReoLinks, so it should do well at night.3. Aperture is f1.0. Most ReoLinks are f1.6. So it should let in double the light.4. Doesn’t blur moving objects at night as much as other Reolinks. Still not crystal clear, but passibly recognizable. See sample image of walking under camera at night. Camera’s light is at 100%.5. See daytime comparison with their 12MP camera. Although the colors aren’t as rich, the shadows reveal a lot more detail! This shows a lot better “dynamic range”. Partly it’s the poorer dynamic range of their sad 12MP camera but this is a feature you want on a security camera. Who cares if colors are rich, you need to see into the shadows.Cons:1.Very difficult to remove SD card screws!!! CHEAP China screws strip easily and THEY. ARE. IN. THERE. TIGHT!!! It took all my strength turning very slowly with a high-grip flathead, and my screws are both stripped. I had the correct sized phillips.2. Poor mount. It’s just a flat plate. I expected an arm style that offers some flexibility. Attaching the camera to it took some doing.3. No PTZ, although it’s shaped like one. It’s my bad but I was fooled. I just assumed from the shape, but now I see that it’s common at this pricepoint. A bullet shape would make far more sense for a fixed camera.4. Manual pointing is highly limited, this is the highest angle I could get! It just barely worked for me, with the camera 15′ up and almost over the door. How would they expect to monitor a yard? A bullet camera would make much more sense for a non-PTZ camera.

Love the CX line of Reolink Cameras
I originally purchased two of Reolink’s RLC810 cameras, connected to a Reolink NVR via ethernet cables. Great daytime video, but the IR video at night was obviously not in color, not all that bright, and they attracted flying insects. I ended up replacing those two cameras with CX810 bullet style cameras, and the difference was amazing. Nighttime pretty much changes to daytime because ambient lighting provides enough light that the spotlights can be turned off and the color video is still excellent. I just purchased the CX820 camera for my garage, and it works great. Same lens, etc. as the CX810, just a different style of camera. Because the garage is very dark at night, I set up the spotlights to come on at night if the camera detects motion. 93 degree horizontal coverage. If you’re shopping for relatively inexpensive security cameras that work great, you won’t be disappointed with any of Reolink’s CX line of cameras.

Another good camera from Reolink!
I haven’t installed it yet but I have configured it. I like the shape and the way it is mounted. It makes installation easier that it was on the CX810.

First reolink came I bought.I guess I’ll list the pros first.Feels pretty sturdy, well built. Easy to aim. Not much ghosting when u have a street light. Can see a long ways. Motion, pet motion, vehicle detection, person. Line cross detection, area detection. Lotts of security features. Has onvif but didn’t bother to try with third party. Has a reset button on the end of the cord. Is poe and have a 12v dc female jack. Restart speed is ok.Some negatives are. Wish the housing was smaller, be nice if had led on the rj45. Not much controll over the streams. Substream or fluent stream is h.264 and cannot change. I’m thinking all streams are h.264 other than the 8mp setting. Kinda uses up bandwidth more.when the led lights are on it washes out the image. Camera do get a little warm to the touch likes most cameras. The field of view isn’t great.Overall the camera isn’t that bad. If it was a lil cheaper, like around the 75-80 dollar range it would of been a 5 star review. I have a 128gb sd card installed and also a reolink rln36 DVR that this camera is recording to. I’m slowly replacing my old camera system with reolink. I was going to go. With hikvision but I found there low end stuff to be still pricey and do not offer as much as reolink. The reolink app with its so many motion detection features are so much better than the hik connect.

So, I have a few brand name cameras running 1/1.8″ cmos sensors, I purchased this one because i wanted a 8mp and 25fps as advertised. In contrast, Its not as good as the 4mp in brightness, the clarity is great, and the night color is slightly orange, however its brilliant.Connecting to a Dahua nvr is simple, but limited to onvif so no real features,I decided not to keep this product as I run dedicated nvrs and was more curious.I did give this to my neighbour, wacked in some sandisk max endurance cards, added 4 port poe and bought another cx820. They’re running the reolink app, local recording, ai detects humans, cars and animals. and lastly, they’re loving it.I am contemplating buying a cx810 as i want to tinker and add some 8mm lens’s as these run M16 mounts.

Awesome, replaced my 833A camera that wasn’t doing the job. Even with the spotlight on it wasn’t clear. Street lights give enough light. Microphone is also better compared to CX410. First pic is the 833A, second is the CX820. This camera also has a bunch of new detection settings that work really well. Definitely recommend.

Good camera, works well in low light.Regarding the one star reviews I saw before buying:1) This camera works without an NVR but you will need a power adapter or a PoE injector. (your cant just plug directly into your router). 2) If you have an NVR you need to configure the camera on the directly on the NVR (Via the web interface does not work). Your camera was not DoA you just didn’t read the manual.
