Best monitor I have ever used.
Best monitor I have ever used by far. Perfect black levels, amazing colors, no dead pixels. A year or more later it is still awesome. The alleged cons– that it doesnt get that bright, or that it has low pixel density– are not very evident and I dont notice them nearly as much as I thought I would. What I do notice is that my games look incredible.

Honestly the best monitor i’ve ever owned
Either I won the panel lottery or this is just a great monitor. I’ve bought many cheap and expensive monitors and never had one so perfect out the box. Time will tell though. Went from a 34″ 3440×1440 to this 45″ 3440×1440 very worried about bigger pixels, massive curve and the text on desktop being blurry but had nothing to worry about. You don’t even notice the curve when your using it (look at your flat tv up close after using your monitor and you will think your tv is bulging outward, it’s wild). Desktop text is obviously off but not as terrible as people made it seem. You can use this as a home office work computer and be fine with few adjustments maybe sharpness increase and clear type. Plenty of settings on this thing. MAKE SURE you use PIXEL CLEAN setting on monitor before you use it as it is recommended. Also take precautions about screen burn in. Gaming obviously is amazing on this thing. Ran a bunch of tests and it was all good. Solid design nothing over the top. Thinner than expected. Lights are cool. Speakers on this are in fact speakers (Didn’t test speakers too much). Response time is insane but im not hardcore like that. My computer is mid to todays standards which is why I stuck with this resolution. I still like to run games on max settings, high fps and don’t mind the resolution. Not blurry at all in game or desktop (except maybe the text being ever so slightly off). Maybe if you went from a higher resolution to this then maybe I can understand being a little put off. Plenty of other stuff I didn’t mention.

Banding
I have always loved LG monitors/tvs. My current monitors are 27in 2k IPS panel displays (2). I figured it was a good time to upgrade and I wanted something bigger and newer. I did my research and landed on the LG 45GS95QE.First shipping was terrible. It was delayed two days and was shipped in the box the monitor comes in, no extra protection. Box arrived with dents and looked like it was opened and re-taped.Setup was super easy and I also noticed that there was no peel off plastic on the front of the monitor. I cant confirm if it ships that way but I thought it was weird. I was able to set it up by myself and something that is that wide i was impressed.I go to turn on the monitor and the screen quality was terrible. The entire screen has banding/vertical lines throughout. I didnt see any physical damage to the screen so it may just be manufacturer defect. It is unusable. I did play a youtube video and will say the colors really pop since its an OLED. The pixel density is a real issue the text is readable but is a strain on the eyes. Dont have much else to say I only had it on for like 20 min before it went back to the box and is getting returned.Overall very disappointed in LG for this price point i expected a lot more and a device that doesn’t have any flaws.

Great Display, Disapointing Physical Controls
Picture quality is great. only negative is the controls on the bottom are not as responsive as I would expect. The single “joystick” style control does everything up/down/left/right and select but moves and presses are not always register. I’m afraid I’ll wear out this controller while selecting different inputs regularly.

Beware “brand new”
I bought 45 inch LG, I’m gonna start what I don’t like – It came with a Chip on the stand(attached photo)!!! It feels like they re sold you a Used look new resale of this monitor.Picture quality is best when gaming and watching Quality videos. When watching low resolution videos you can really see it due to size.Text quality is decent, not for productivity use since you’ll really notice the curve and may ruin your designs or whatever you working on.Refresh rate is good- i can’t really say too much since i don’t have the best graphic card out there, using 6950xt and some games i’m reaching 240fps some 120fps.Stand that comes with it is very sturdy you’ll get the Flat stand rather than the V shaped stand.I say it was worth the purchase besides the fact that they might given me a use monitor.*** OUT OF THE BOX YOU MIGHT SEE SOME HORRIBLE VERTICAL BANDING ON GRAY BACKGROUNDS, YOU NEED TO DO AN IMAGE CLEANING THROUGH THE MONITOR MENU 2-3x for the IMAGE QUALITY TO BE GREAT.***Might need to adjust color grading to your liking if you don’t want to have natural colors.**TIP FOR TEXT QUALITY: I set my Monitor display to 4k instead of 1440p on Windows and it somehow fix or make the text quality much better.5star because the Monitor was a beast despite the PPI (i don’t count PP), it would’ve been 3 star because of amazon the chip on the stand.

For daily use it’s an awesome upgrade!
The curve on this monitor is NOT bad at all. It’s been called “severe” among other things, but I use this as a daily monitor for work, streaming, some gaming, etc. so it’s all over the place on use cases. It was a noticeable improvement over a 32” monitor, and the added width makes a big difference (no pun intended). The DPI of 96 isn’t razor-sharp, but I’m not 4 inches from it looking for soft edges or gotcha disappointments. It’s fine so don’t worry about it. The text quality is as good as most others, and frankly isn’t a problem at all. If a pure text-displaying microfont monitor capable of competing with 5K is your requirement then look elsewhere. But if you want a fantastic big OLED with awesome black levels, smooth movements when gaming, and popping colors with zero bleed for mixed use then jump on it.

Purchased this monitor on sale at about $1600. It’s size is impressive to say the least. Even in comparison to my neo G9, this is easily the most beautiful monitor I’ve ever owned. If you can find this unit as an open box or on sale, it is a must have if you’re shopping in this price range.Pros:-Massive size. This monitor is crazy immersive. To say that it pulls you into whatever game you’re playing, or movie you’re watching is an understatement. At recommended viewing distance, it fills most of your vision and along with the lifelike color accuracy in HDR, it can make you forget that you’re looking at monitor.-HDR. While the monitor is certified for “VESA DisplayHDR 400” It can punch much higher. Small on screen highlights can reach in and around 1000 nits peak brightness and you can most certainly feel it. Even playing a game as simple as stock Minecraft can leverage these insane contrast ratios, like outside light peaking into a cave. When paired with games that are well mastered in HDR, like cyberpunk. It provides an experience nothing short of cinematic and makes every scene a joy.-Response times. Expect a buttery smooth experience especially on higher end computers. The “Grey to Grey” response times make for a monitor that becomes nearly imperceptible. I had a moment when playing “Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2” where I was tracking enemies through the sky with my camera completely stationary. Each enemy was completely crystal clear as they flew by me. No ghosting or overshoot. Even amongst other OLEDs, LGs modern panel still measure near the top of the stack in terms of response time accuracy and this monitor flexes that point every moment it gets.Cons:-Most of the pros are still applicable to a lot of LGs product stack as well as others. What this monitor offers is exactly what other premier OLED gaming monitors offer, just bigger. Bigger price, bigger screen. That being said, if image quality is all you care about, then this screen offers essentially nothing over its smaller screen brothers.-Pixel density. At this gigantic size while still clocking in at a 1440p resolution, the “pixels per inch” is relatively low sitting at 82ppi. This would make it relative to a 27″ 1080p monitor. While I personally have no grievance with this, you may actually want the smaller version of this monitor to compensate for the lower pixel density. That being said, this monitor feels deceptively sharp. Not to parrot what other reviewers have said about this monitor, but it certainly does not feel like a 1440p panel. Once in game, everything looks sharp and wears that low ppi much better than I thought it would. I cannot speak to everyone’s experience however and this should be noted for a panel this expensive. All in all, this is one of those monitors that I would urge you to see in person if you’re shopping in this price bracket. Taken everything into account, this monitor is gonna be my endgame until it dies, then I will hopefully replace it with another iteration of LGs 45″ monitor. I love this form factor, I love the image quality, I love this monitor. For me, it is practically everything I could ask at the price I paid.

Nothing beats an OLED panel and when it comes to OLED panels no one beats LG. You can’t go wrong with this.I wish the resolution was higher but 1440p is enough and the curve makes it so you really cant notice the pixels even when you’re sitting up-close.The curve is also just right at the sweet spot i had an odyssey g9 before this and i felt like it was too much, very well worth the upgrade!

Wide screen at it’s best?I was torn between aspect ratios, wide or ultra wide, Samsung or LG (or others) and finally decided on the LG 45GS95QE Ultragear OLED Curved Gaming Monitor. The reviews on it were over the top, and the specs seem to be too good to be true. I took a leap of faith (this is NOT cheap) after trying to find one locally, and ordered this from Amazon.Arrived quick, price was fair (cheaper than locally available by $100 bucks) and turned out to be a winner. I use this for some mild gaming, but mostly for WFH duties. I am running this off of a Dell G15 Gaming Laptop with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU with a monster brick for a power supply. The combination is good for what I do on all counts. The good:- 21:9 Aspect ratio is fantastic, so glad I went this size- 45″ screen is huge, super easy to multi task and run loads of apps at once- Giant widescreen spreadsheets are rad- Refresh rate is amazing- Looks great, LED backlighting (hexagon lighting) is a cool feature and looks goodThe bad (or not so good)- Price was high (but still worth it)- Font is not as crisp as some displays, but I knew this going in. Looks better in dark mode than not (aka white font on black background is more crisp). This is really only noticeable to me in Outlook to be honest, not sure why?

Some are very slim on the vertical dimension and would be disappointing for office use. This one is great.
