This Media Player is in AV Mode by default.
If you connect this item with your TV by your own HDMI Cable (not the AV cables in package), please follow the instructions as below:
Make sure you’ve plugged the HDMI cable correctly and tightly into the player’s HDMI port.
Make sure your TV Input Mode is also turned to be HDMI Mode.
Then Press the HDMI button on the controller(*inclued in the package) to get a signal. (*when pressing this button, please make sure the controller points to the player not the TV.)
Finally you’ll see the operating system images shown on your TV.

I wanted to loop a short mpeg4 video on a projector and the projector was being difficult, having trouble recognizing videos and I found there was no loop function on the projector.I put the USB stick into this Axgear mini media player, NO PROBLEMS, in fact it automatically loops the video without digging into settings. Ran this Axgear with the HDMI they provided into the projector, everything works.WOW!!!!! I was fooling with the projector all week trying to get it to work, I tried this Axgear and it worked immediately. Some people posted here that they were having problems getting the media player to recognize movie files, I did not have that problem, it’s reading video files that the projector would not recognize.Solid cheap solution!!! 5 star all the way!!

Love the auto start feature
Very happy. I use 4 of these to play video files from USB drive (or SD card) to my Epson projectors for seasonal decorations. Love the auto start when powered on (look in the settings) so everything starts playing automatically when the timer comes on (projectors have this feature as well). Total game changer not having to manually start 4 different player/projector sets every night!

I was sooo thrilled..it started right away, the remote works perfectly and it was easy to set up..comes with everything needed. I purchased to use with projector for Halloween digital display. I’m so happy with this player I immediately purchased another one. No photo slideshow delay setting.
I got this to do my own photo picture frame for an older TV. Works well for that, is easy to setup and use with the included remote and cables. Requires 2 AAA batteries for remote (not included). However, there’s no setting to change the delay for the slideshow, it’s fixed at 5 seconds. This is too fast for my needs, and I think it should include a setting so the delay can be changed. Something like 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, or 300 seconds. I’ll be returning it for that reason.

Terrible. Struggling to find a single format to actually work.Update: (after a couple days of trying to get it to work) I found a solution to this ridiculous issue. If any of you are still struggling or buy this and aren’t able to get any file formats to work. Try opening your content in VLC and then navigate to the convert/stream preferences menu. Convert your content to the “android” file preferences preset. It’s a preset that I believe uses RM/RMVB file structure. Your content doesn’t just need to be a .mp4 it needs to also be a RM/RMVB .mp4. If this doesn’t work or you don’t want to do this then try chucking it at the wall a couple times, it’s a better projectile then it is media player.

What’s the best way to play video on Your TV if the USB only suports photos? Compact and very useful for any purpose. Remote works great too! I use mine to play awesome kalidascope videos when I’m throwing a party. (I’m still trying to figure out some MP4 files issue, but I saw another post about getting that to work. Shall try and see, it’s Da Best machine I’ve twice bought!)

Cheap n awesome
Wanted a video player for when I am outside of the country and my Roku wont work. This unit fires right up and menus are very responsive. Picture quality is great. Fast forward, rewind, pause, has sequential loop which is great for series or trilogies. Impressed with the performance for a device under $30.

Does exactly I expected it to do. There are some extra settings you might be looking for that aren’t mention in the manual or in the settings menu. Use the “OSD” (on screen display) button while playing, and you’ll probably find the extra settings you’re looking for in there.

If only ONE JPG file is not readable (even though they are perfectly normal files from Lightroom!), NOTHING wil lplay. And it is a mystery why some files play and others do not.Otherwise, perfect. But this is a real problem.

Purchased this to do one simple task: loop a video on a tv at our business. Functionalities were completely defective. Once we played the video 1x, we could not start the video again from the beginning. It would only jump to the end, and then stop. Even if we unplugged the unit, and disconnected the USB device, and started from the main menu, upon re-connecting and powering the unit back on, finding the the video and pressing play, the video would only play from the last 3 seconds and then switch to an Error screen. I tried to follow instructions to get the video to loop, both instructions that I found on the manual and on Amazon, but none of the functions worked as described. The remote didn’t work properly. Some buttons would make the unit go “dead”, and I couldn’t power it back on with the remote. I had to disconnect the power and start again. Basically, it was junk. We’ve returned it.
The Magic One –
When I first hooked up the media player, the tv input button on the hdmi said no sygnal. I then traded hdmi wire, and used the rca jacks…………still the same, so I put the hdmi cable back in and waited. It took a long time to communicate between the TV and the Media Player. Finally just waiting longer it finally recoginized the player. It works great, but you have to be patient every time you push a button and just wait for it to respond. It Works, but not as fast as you would like.
