My lightweight jumper HD webcam
I was looking for a good, reasonably priced, and lightweight computer. This is the option I found for my son, who studies and works part-time. It has a clear image, is lightweight enough for him to take anywhere, and this Jumper laptop has 12GB of memory. It’s efficient with many applications, and I also use it for my basic home use quite often. It works with Microsoft software, has an HD webcam, comes with a charger and manual. Suitable for studying and working.

Does not stay powered on plugged in.
The laptop will not stay powered on while plugged into a wall outlet. If left charging for a while it will start to power on then shuts down. A laptop should be able to stay powered on while plugged into regardless of battery state. Took forever to just get the updates and when the battery died that was as far as I got. Returning because the quality really shows.

So I don’t think this would necessarily be the product providers fault but mine came damaged. I am returning it, I’d like to get a replacement rather than returning because I do need it for work. If I could contact someone to do that. That would make this whole ordeal a lot better. Look wise minus the obvious the laptop is smooth and sleek, very lightweight.

I ordered this so I had a laptop available if I wanted to perform the basic functions of shopping, banking, emailing, social media and watching Netflix / iPlayer / YouTube / Britbox etc. I didn’t plan to store pictures, documents and videos on it or to download applications, so the relative lack of storage was not an issue and wasn’t planning to play any games more processor intensive than Pokerstars, so the relative lack of RAM was not an issue either.In all respects it has met my expectations and I am very happy with my purchase. My key observations, both positive and negative are listed below and I hope will help you determines this devices suitability, or otherwise, for you:PositivesIt is £240! Bear that in mind when you read “negatives”Small footprint, and light, so easy to transportScreen quality is excellent, perfect for watching Netflix etc.Touchpad is responsive and accurateKeyboard, you have to add a UK QUERTY overlay to it, which makes it feel more rubber than plastic but it is not unpleasant and I have had no problems typing out emails etc, or this report. Once fitted, the overlay does not move about which was aconcern I had prior to purchase.Looks good, it doesn’t scream out “quality” like an iMac but it looks and feels far better than it’s £240 price suggestsAcceptable boot up speed, 55 secondsI have had no problems with swapping between multiple windows, upto six so far, it swaps quickly rather than instantaneously but workable. Comes with a free first 12 months of Office 365. I didn’t need it for this but if you were purchasing this for a child / student it does give them access to Office suite at an acceptable speed. Clearly you will need to pay an annual subscription after the first year, currently about £70 per annum I think.NegativesIt is not blisteringly fast at anything but, for what I have used it for so far, see intro, it is quick enough for me never to have felt I was waiting for a response. It is operationally fast.When you first configure it and it is setting up Windows go away and have a long cup of coffee, or walk the dog, if you start trying to test how fast it is, while it configures Windows in the background, you will be horrified and think it is a lemon. It isn’t but it has 4Mb RAM so give it a chance to set itself up.Watching back to back films I am getting about 5 hours battery life, but that is true with most laptops.IT ISN’T A GAMES machine, do not buy it for your children thinking they can play Fortnight etc, they can’t. It deals with Pokerstars but only with the animations turned to minimum, that is about its’ limit when it comes to games graphics.Genuinely, I can’t think of any other negatives. It doesn’t have a top range pentium processor so it isn’t daft fast, it doesn’t have masses or RAM so won’t run multiple windows all doing processor intensive applications quickly, it doesn’t have masses of storage space for your entire photo collection but you shouldn’t have got to the point of reading reviews without knowing that already! :-)Also be aware:It has 4Gb RAM not the 6Gb reported in some comments.Because it has limited RAM and Processor speed it does not deal well with rubbish internet speeds. I have fast fibre and have no problems watching Netflix etc. but my girlfriend has T***T*** link, apparently made out of spaghetti, and Jumper is far worse than my work Dell when using her link to watch films but that isn’t the laptop’s fault.In summary buy it for browsing, film watching, emails, social media etc. you will be very pleased and have a device far better than the price would suggest, but buy it for gaming, video editing and CAD designs and you have a £240 door stop!Hope this helps

La prima cosa che mi ha colpito è il display IPS da 16 pollici: luminoso, dai colori vivi e con una buona definizione. Perfetto sia per lavorare con documenti e fogli di calcolo che per guardare film o serie TV. Lo schermo ha una resa che, onestamente, non mi aspettavo in questa fascia di prezzo.Il processore Intel 5305U, pur non essendo tra i più recenti, si comporta sorprendentemente bene per un uso quotidiano. Non ho avuto rallentamenti nemmeno con più schede del browser aperte, gestione email, videochiamate e qualche programma in background. La RAM da 12 GB fa davvero la differenza: permette di lavorare in multitasking con fluidità e senza intoppi.Altro punto forte è lo spazio di archiviazione: 640 GB sono tantissimi, soprattutto per chi, come me, tende a salvare molti file offline, foto e documenti. Non ho dovuto pensare subito a un hard disk esterno, ed è una bella comodità.È anche leggerissimo e molto sottile, cosa che lo rende perfetto da portare in giro per lavoro o studio. Entra facilmente nello zaino e non appesantisce affatto. Nonostante la leggerezza, la costruzione è solida e dà una buona impressione di affidabilità.Ottima anche la connettività: ha porte USB-A e USB-C, quindi posso collegare qualsiasi tipo di periferica senza dover ricorrere ad adattatori. La presenza della porta tipo C è un bel valore aggiunto in un laptop di questo tipo.Infine, una menzione al sistema di raffreddamento: silenzioso, efficiente e mai invasivo. Anche dopo ore di utilizzo continuo, il portatile rimane fresco e non scalda eccessivamente, il che è davvero raro in modelli sottili.

Non pensavo, ma è davvero un ottimo PC. Pensavo che visto che costa poco, fosse lento o altro. Invece sono rimasto a bocca aperta. Velocissimo, schermo con una qualità molto alta, e molto fluido. Nella confezione ho trovato anche le cover per la tastiera, utilissime.

Very lightweight which is what i wanted for travelling. Like the overlay keyboard once used to it. Touchpad is a bit loud, but I may be able to adjust that in settings. Not worked out how yet.Set up with Cortina was super easy as she talked you through each step. Have not activated Microsoft 365 yet as have Educational version and there does seem to be a conflict. Not had any problems with emails or wifi connections at all. Not super fast compared to more expensive work lap top. but perfectly adequate and loads pages quickly when surfing. Battery life is good – at least 6 hours so far.Hope I will be saying the same a few months down the line.
