Great software, pricing structure needs a complete overhaul.
I’ve been buying and using Webroot for the better part of a decade now. Seems to provide adequate protection, and doesn’t use a ton of resources like McAfee or Norton. Doesn’t seem to slow down reboots/logging in like other competitors do. Little bit tricky to figure out how to mark a file as safe once Webroot thinks it’s dangerous.Don’t think I’ve ever seen a false positive unlike Windows built-in Defender. Some programmers use kits to develop their software and sometimes those kits have extra modules that can call home, or be used for nefarious purposes (whether they’re being utilized or not). Defender will identify those modules and complain about “malware” where Webroot does not. Just be aware of that. If you are worried about malware then run Defender or pick up software that will help protect against malware.My only gripe about Webroot is they have this business model where it’s 50% cheaper to buy a new serial number/code than it is to renew a current code for another year. So that forces everyone to keep track of numerous codes, buy enough new codes every year to cover all their PC’s, and keep adding new codes all the time. It is an absolute pain. If I can buy a new code for $35 why is the renewal rate MORE expensive at $60? This is a ridiculous business practice. Just keep the current price (or cheaper) to renew. I have over 20 codes in my account and they do nothing for me now that they are expired and you cannot clear them out so as time goes on your account gets riddled with excess codes.

The only Internet security and antivirus solution I’ll run on my PC and Apple devices hands down.
I am a retired (since 2021) PC repair technician and former business owner, who has been in that field since 1996. I have come across and a lot of virus threats infecting anything from Microsoft DOS (Disk Operating System) 3.3 to DOS 7, to Microsoft Windows ranging from versions 3.0 to 10, and I’ve tried and scrutinized a lot of antivirus software solutions in that time, including popular ones like Malwarebytes, Norton, BitDefender, and many others. I finally found the best antivirus/security solution hands down in 2012, and it is the only one I have and will protect the privacy and data on my computers and mobile devices with. It’s called WEBROOT. Since using it, neither I, nor my former PC repair residential and business clients have had any malware issues on their PCs or Macs. I sleep better at night knowing WEBROOT is protecting my medical and financial privacy against all forms of malware. It is not just a good Internet security/antivirus solution, it’s so good that Carbonite, the cloud backup solution company, acquired them and adds WEBROOT to their cloud backup software. After all, Webroot has been using cloud-based threat intelligence and artificial intelligence to identify unknown threats since 2011. needless to say I highly recommend WEBROOT Internet Security Complete, but even just their basic Antivirus software is both affordable, quick and awesome!

SW Not activating
I’ve had this SW for over a month and am still unable to install it. Now it’s on a Black Friday Sale price, so I paid more, for an unusable product. The help line states the issue will be resolved in 24 hours. After a time, I’d hoped it would be within 24 days. To no avail. Not happy. Expect I’m not protected either.

I have used Webroot for nearly five years and it is the best anti-virus that I have ever used. The pricing is great, along with the fact that it is not resource intensive as other anti-virus software. It is very easy to use and very customizable based on what I need to do. Their new website is also very clear about your subscription status and it has blocked multiple potential attacks. Until otherwise, I will always choose Webroot every year.
