VONETS VAP11G-300 is a WiFi Bridge/Signal Repeater, WiFi to ethernet adapter, can achieve Wireless to wired function.
Working in the Repeater mode, VAP11G-300 can be doubled to extend the original WiFi signal coverage, while it can ensure the security of the wireless signal, its working principle is: at the edges of the original WiFi hot spot signal coverage, in “Repeater mode ” is able to receive weak WiFi signal, and then zoom in to the normal, safe strength, and after optimization, error correction processing, to achieve signal coverage distance doubled extension under safe.

Does not connect to wifi. Manual says “light quick flash if not connected” and “light quick flash if connected” – wow that’s so straight forward and helpful, really amazing product here.

Bought to allow an old but working perfectly network printer to be connected via wifi.I configured the easy to use web interface to act as a WiFi Bridge.Tested it worked on my network and plugged it into the printer which then worked perfectly.The WiFi is 2.4 GHz but for my use which is printing that’s not likely to ever be an issue. The web configuration is basic but has everything you’re likely to need and as I’d previously set the printer to have a static IP on the network I didn’t need to worry about DHCP (but it was there and I was able to turn it off) and I’ve not played with the MAC/IP layer settings since the use-case and static IP worked fine.Minor downsides:The very bright blue and green LEDS do draw attention to it which could become irritating in a dark environment are a downside, but not a massive one,The length of the ethernet cord and USB power supply flying leads are quite short could be an issue.The USB cable comes off to allow an external power supply but the lead is male so you can’t plug an external supply in anyway.The USB cable is type A (the normal flat one) but most devices like my printer have a type B (the squarish shaped one) so the cable can’t be used to get power.The pictures clearly show the cable so I had a USB cable extender ready anyway and powered it from a spare USB phone charger.All in all, it was what I expected to get, it did what it said it could do (unlike some of the rubbish on Amazon market place) and for a reasonable price. What’s not to like?

I purchased this to act as a bridge between my Fronius Solar inverter and my wireless network. The built in wireless in the Fronius Inverter has always been weak and flakey dropping out every 3-4 weeks.. Using this between my LAN connection on the inverter and my wireless network has solved this issue . Great little unit that fits perfectly inside teh inverter making use of the inbuilt USB port as a power source.

Warning. I installed this easily and it worked well until I noticed that my solar energy monitoring was almost stopped. It normally updates every 5 minutes but this became unpredictable with as much as 2 hours. This took a while to become evident and was only linked back after some investigation. I have not yet resolved this but will update if possible.I needed this because my security camera DVR is in the loft and having new fibre broadband installed under the stairs as the only reasonable option I had a problem plumbing in the cable from the DVR, previously routed about 16 metres via cupboards cavity walls etc to where the old land line was convenient, another 8 metres to the new router position where it couldn’t be hidden in any way.When the device was delivered I looked at the instructions with horror as some of the text on the “helpful” diagrams was unreadable even with a powerful magnifier and the rest was techno babble. I can usually cope with this quite well but Chinese techno babble defeats me. What it really boiled down to was pretty much as follows.I used a laptop because my smartphone hates me.Power it up, I used a rechargeable powerpack.Disconnect from the local router and sign in to the Vonets one which should be an option, name and password both “admin”Start reading from the “2” halfway down page 5. (count, the pages aren’t numbered)Basically, the instructions lead to a page which should display the local router and all that is needed is to select it, enter name and password, save it. Job done It should now work.Apparently, it will now act as a repeater to allow up to 10 other devices to log in to it if there are problems with range.I gave it 4* as a protest about the manual which could have made life a lot easier with very little consideration but the product itself deserves a good 5*.
