Was Unlocked as advertised. Nice cheapo android smart phone
Just as advertised, it was unlocked. I needed an unlocked phone for my dad so I could put his mint mobile sim card into it since his old phone went ka-poot. It’s nothing spectacular quality wise, but for its price itll get you by as a bare minimum smart phone to check emails, use GPS, call, and text. Easily a good value for its price.

I always read reviews before purchasing but was in a hurry and didn’t read these reviews until it was too late and spent two hours on setting a phone up just to have to return it. This phone says TracPhone when you power it on. It is NOT unlocked. It clearly says in the advertising image cricket compatible. I am here to tell you THATS FALSE it also has a OLD MICRO USB charger. I could have delt with the charger but it makes me very dissatisfied when a seller says one thing on their listing and lies and the customer has to go through a process of return now and I also had to return a phone cover and an additional charger. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PHONE OR THIS SELLER I am shocked Amazon allows this looking at the reviews most people have had a negative experience. The ones that got their phone to work is pure luck because I am very tech savvy and purchased TCL phones from OTHER SELLERS that were actually unlocked and worked . Very dissatisfied!

Appears to be locked to Tracfone or is at least Tracfone branded. All I needed was a cheap device for development and it works perfectly for that use case. Very slow, struggled to play Subway Surfers, but I didn’t need it to.

Honestly, wasn’t impressed with this phone. The first one had so many issues and wouldn’t stay charged or on. Was very glitch. Sent back for a new one and the new one works and charges but is very baggy and freezes a lot. The phone is pretty cheap and doesnt have a lot of space. Lightweight.

It works for me!
It’s an outdated smartphone, SIM is inserted by removing the back of the phone. Also, it uses the OG charging port, (the smaller one with top portion is a bit smaller than bottom of the male connector, the one that was used for everything).It’s more durable and simple for most basic functions. After Google finishes cramming in it’s “updates”, it got slower. But that’s not the phone’s fault, it’s Googled goo goo bully tactics… per usual.I hope to be able to use it for as long as I can, until some cybernetic unnecessary improvement deems it obsolete.

this phone was locked!
i had to just give it 1 star because it had a great return policy. The phone wasn’t compatible with Verizon even though the advertisement said it was, infact it was a locked tracphone. i even called TCL directly for help before i had to return it. to me it was complete false advertisement.
