Flimsy
I was worried at first because this thing feels very cheap and flimsy. It looks nice thought. It is small and I am able to hide it under the greenery. It has a blue light that blinks every few seconds. So far it’s working great. We have had it for about two months. At first, we had it in a different location and it wasn’t reaching all the way to the front and back door locks but now once we got it in the right spot it is functioning properly. We haven’t had any problems with connectivity now that it’s in the right location. So you may have to move it around to find the perfect range. It is really helpful to be able to lock my front and back door with my phone. I like being able to have that reassurance when I’m laying in bed and can’t remember if the door was locked or not.

Excellent Technical support from Smonet staff
I continue to be impressed with the exceptional technical support I have received from Smonet staff, namely Helen, who takes the time to video record step-by-step instructions on her smart phone in response to my questions. I have installed a few of the Y1 electronic deadbolt lock sets with the additional Gateway to access the lock remotely. Though there is a 14 hour time shift between here in Chicagoland and Asia Pacific, Helen makes time to respond to my inquiries within 24 hours, even over the weekend break. Smonet products are rich with many features being very user friendly with its many functions. Having courteous, timely, helpful customer support is key to their success and I would highly recommend their products to others and will promote them to my future customers.

Customer support isn’t great
Seemed to be an easy set up until I tried to link to my google home. Website would change my password to something entirely different when logging in. I had to leave a message with support for a call back, who then repeated the written set up directions to me. In the end, they said they couldn’t help and I have to wait 24 hours to hear back from a tech rep. Website online’s 24/5 “chat” is just sending an online message similar to an email. Customer service is a long winded joke so far.Update days later: I’m still not able to connect to my Google home and support is providing compensation/refund based on me adjusting/deleting my review
