Well worth the money
Size wise, this is only a small upgrade (from a 24″), but wow does that extra 3″ make a difference! The picture quality is great, with accurate colors, and it has a nice viewing angle. Very happy with this purchase. It is well worth the money.Connectivity is great, I’m using the HDMI connection, and there are no issues whatsoever. I’m running it at it’s native resolution of 1920×1080 @60Hz. I also tried running it at 100Hz refresh rate, and it performed like a champ. I just didn’t see the need to keep it jacked up like that as 60Hz is the recommended refresh rate and I didn’t see any difference in picture quality. No flickering at either rate.I definitely recommend this monitor.

Nice Monitor – Nice Price!
Prices have really gone down on flat screens. Can’t believe how thin it is – weights almost nothing. I’d give it 5 stars but the screws for the optional back plate mount were not included. Had to call and get them sent out. That won’t affect most buyers. Sharp, clear color. Can run it with either VGA or HDMI cables.

I have no complaints about the monitor and regard it as an excellent value for the price, but would caution potential buyers that the maximum resolution it supports is only 1080P (1080 x 1900). It’s fine for most business or casual consumer use including standard resolution movies or TV programming, but definitely not for serious graphics development, high-resolution video, or gaming.Also please note that there are no on-board speakers, which seems to have been a point of contention for some reviewers. Always read the specifications and know what to expect when you buy hardware.I bought it to replace two smaller monitors that my elderly mother had on her aging computer because one was failing to start up in a timely manner and the other was losing color saturation. She seems to be happy with the change and has not reported any problem adapting from a 2-monitor setup to one much larger monitor. This Samsung has a much broader viewing angle than her previous monitors, which will be helpful given her weakening eyesight, as will the larger text size.I also like how little space this monitor takes on the physical desktop when set up with the included stand. It’s thin, trim, and neither bulky nor particularly heavy.No regrets. I would buy this monitor again, and would consider it for a multi-monitor setup.

What An Improvement! Easy Setup. Very Light
I got this 27″ monitor to replace a really sad, dim, fuzzy, small OEM HP monitor at an office I volunteer at.For such a low price, this Samsung really shines. It’s so much easier to see. So bright. Larger text. Very thin and light. Almost zero bezel.HDMI or VGA/D-Sub port. Plug and play.NOTE: I had to restart the computer for it to recognize the monitor. Scared me at first when I just plugged it in while the computer was running. The computer had a monitor connected via DVI. Both the DVI and the HDMI connections went black when I plugged the HDMI in.Disconnected the DVI and restarted with HDMI plugged in. Fired right up in 1920×1080. Beautiful. The old HP desktop CPU worked well for an old computer.Be aware the single button on the back is a pushbutton AND a joystick that controls all functions. It’s a power-on button and then becomes a four-way joystick with pushing to enter the command.For my purposes, it worked flawlessly out of the box without needing to go through any menus with the joystick.Highly recommended.
