Excellent Monitor for the Value
The monitor was very easy to set up and only took a few minutes to get running. Good quality! The power button doubles as the settings control, which keeps things simple. Picture quality is excellent! Very crisp and vibrant. I can’t comment on the built-in audio since I use external speakers, but for the price, this monitor is a fantastic value. No complaints at all!

I ended up getting 2 of these, model 120hz MSI PRO MP251 E2 24.5-inch IPS 1920 x 1080. This is the newest model from MSI. I’ve had these for 4 weeks and I am still just so impressed with the lack of glare, and the very even color and even contrast (no weird white spots or dark spots).I had bought 2 Philips 24″ monitors that had nearly identical features and specifications, but they had a really serious issue with poor viewing angles, and uneven contrast with strange constant glare.After the Philips monitors, I had low expectations, but when I received these MSI monitors it was a shocking improvement, with better viewing angle, and nearly zero glare. Also, the image has no uneven contrast, it is “even” coloring and contrast, especially if you’re standing above or below the monitor, where it maintains a rock solid image.The viewing angle is extremely good, side to side and also up and down. The viewing angle up and down is actually significantly better than another set of Phillips 24″ IPS monitors I tried.The front bezel is beautiful with no weird logo or writing or any lines or textures. The monitor is about as clean and plain as you can imagine and that was a huge selling point for me.I don’t want to see a big unsightly logo. MSI is the only monitor on the market right now with no front logo on the bottom bezel. This one has no logo on the monitor itself, and only has a logo on the stand. Thank you MSI. Logos ruin products.The power cord is very long so you can actually set the power supply on the ground.The bezel is crazy thin with nearly no borders.This monitor works perfectly on my computer set to 60hz on the video card output. I don’t have a 120hz video card but it works perfectly with no flicker at all and the monitor looks sharp and crisp with no visible pixels.When I was using a 100Hz Philips monitor, I noticed it would only run at 50hz on my computer.The color is outstanding with a bit more richness and the skin tones are actually brown and tan not blue-white like most of my other monitors. I didn’t have to adjust the colors at all.The VGA port is a huge bonus. And it also has an HDMI. You can buy a DVI to HDMI adapter for $10 and it works fine.Amazing monitor with a semi gloss screen but with very low glare and with no weird moire or cloudiness from odd viewing angles.This monitor has an anti glare coating and so it’s designed for people who actually want to use their monitor.The pure white color is very tan and creamy and not blue-white. I really love the cream white color that is more organic and nice and not cold and harsh. This is a dream monitor for office workers and video editors.

Great Monitor, Terrible Tetris Player
I got this monitor specifically because it is 100×100 VESA compatible. I thought, “Finally, I can mount this beauty flush to the wall like the minimalist tech god I pretend to be.”Well, joke’s on me. Because while the VESA mount is there, MSI decided to place the power plug right in the back panel (so the plug and power cable doesn’t allow flush mounting), like it’s trying to win a game of Plug Tetris and losing spectacularly. So now my “flush wall mount” looks like my monitor is permanently leaning back to tell me a secret.Also, yes—it has built-in speakers! And yes—they sound like two squirrels arguing inside a tin can. But let’s be fair: nobody gets a monitor for the speakers. The fact that it even makes sound is sort of like when your dog says “I love you”—you appreciate the effort, but you’re not exactly canceling Spotify.Picture quality? Glorious. Colors so crisp I briefly mistook a Windows update for a Pixar trailer.So now I’m brainstorming:Saw a hole in the drywall?Build a custom mount with a weird bulge for the plug?Train myself to enjoy monitors that hover 4 inches off the wall?Overall: 8/10 would recommend—if you don’t plan to mount it flush or listen to anything.

Saw this monitor popup when i was looking for a cheap 24″-25″ screen to replace on my rolling desktop pc repair bench. Checked the specs and seemed like a very solid replacement!Arrived, decided to replace my prev 1080p 60hz Dell 24″ touchscreen monitors. Hooked up to my 2021 m1 max macbook pro, works great! 120hz and HDR features out the box. Included proper cable too. Liked so much, got a 2nd one so i can have matching for my dual setup for the mac. Great price for a great monitor, i expect these to sell out very fast.Update after a month: I am liking this monitor even more. I forgot to mention that these monitors are matte coated and in turn zero glare. I have huge windows in my condo and these monitors handle glare/reflection very well.Refresh rate is amazing, you get really spoiled after using 120hz on a daily basis and anything under takes a little bit to adjust to. Colors are great and viewing angles very good too.This monitor has gone up in price by $20 since i bought it in Jan/Feb but is still a great deal imo. The only dealbreaker for some is that it is only a 1080p monitor and not 4K. I purposedly wanted 1080p since i’m getting old and 4K res and fonts don’t always scale properly (ie too small).

Upgrading from 60hz to 120hz is a massive leap.HDR is a really nice touch. Just make sure to calibrate it properly from Windows.Monitor came nicely packaged and it was really easy to assemble and setup.The stand is durable and supports tilting (up and down), but NOT height adjustment. The little dent supports placing your phone in there, which is a nice touch as well.Been using it with HDR on, 120hz, and 1ms modes and no ghosting, dead pixels or anything of the sort. MSI is amazing.All in all, a really solid buy. Highly recommend.

At a given price, the best monitor gives you the most “good bits” without bad compromises. For example, a cheaper monitor might have high refresh rate but poor color / contrast; a more expensive one might have everything but be overpriced relative to what you actually get.
