Great value and product
Great price, great protection, I purchase every year during black Friday sales. Word of advice: when you sign up at McAfee with this each time, make sure you have auto renewal turned off. If you don’t, McAfee will automatically renew this product at FULL PRICE to your saved payment method (they had mine from a previous purchase with them, if you’ve never bought from them, it may not be an issue). So turn off auto renew, and just purchase this product every year and activate it. I set a reminder on my phone so I remember to activate and there are no lapses in protection.

good antivirus at a good price.My only gripe is too many pop up ads trying to sell me an upgrade. Every day, over and over again. It gets sickening. Perhaps i will try another one next year when this one expires.

This is genuine McAfee software
Since Centurylink discontinued offering McAfee securiry software, I chose to continue with McAfee hiwever, the offered online McAfee subscription was very expensive and I was glad to see that Amazon is offering McAfee at greatly discounted price. I chose this vender because they mail the key rather than having it installed online. Although you can access it swiftly via online and go about your way when it’s installed successfully but if you encounter problems during installation, having the key in your hand is good gesture. I installed it on two of my computers. Since there’s no instruction on how to go about installing it on additional device, I had to go in and out of each screen to study if there is a tab or button to do this and I did figure out eventually. So, if you were unsuccessful at installing it on another device, it is allowed, up to 3 devices as they stated. It is a good practice to continuevwith their subscription to have seamless protection. I am very happy with this offer. You won’t find it cheaper anywhere else.

Just don’t – not all the functions work!
Unfortunately, my computer’s manufacturer recommended this. I’m not too pleased. The antivirus part of this runs way too slow, and I really don’t like when it “stalls”. Time for me to not only look for another antivirus product, but for a new computer… only good news is that it’s reasonably priced.UPDATE, 4/17/2024:I definitely can’t recommend this product! Now, only the “quick scan” function works in its entirety. The “full scan” either goes for about 3-3.5 hours, then stalls and I get the “it’s not you, it’s us. Please try again later” message, or it’ll scan about half of my computer’s files and just sit there! I can’t spend all day trying to do a full scan of my computer! I would usually do a full scan of my computer once a week as a proactive measure but, with this product, it’s just not feasible!I wonder if I can get my money back…

I purchased McAfee because I waited to long to purchase the Christmas special on another antivirus program that others rated much higher than this one. I am kicking myself. McAfee has popup screens for everything. It is continuously finding ways to get the user to spend more money on some other McAfee product. While it has typical protection for the price $20, the pop-ups alone has discouraged me from buying another McAfee product. For instance, I purchased this product right before Christmas and I am already getting pop-ups to renew for another year after two months. It does not optimise, track for bad brokers, nor cleanup your registry, yet it continuously recommends these items after a smart scan or restart. No you cannot fully turn off the marketing ads. McAfee is annoying. I would not recommend this product for any price due to the number of annoying popups’.

Works GREAT!!For those having issues with the request of credit card; make sure you log into your account and when requested go to your account page and read through to the one for the year of expiration of the new download. I renewed my subscription. It’s a good product. I also have protection for my emails and can use a different VPN, i like the different functions available. Easy set up, all my devices are connected, and compatibility with my different devices
