Exceptional laptop
This computer is the reason I now prefer Lenovo over Asus. The 40gb of Ram and two portable screens are helping but over this thinkpad is just cool. The casing is so solid and thin. I wish it was a little more ergonomic but the laptop size and profile and excellent. Screen resolution is excellent, keyboard is great. My one complaint about the keyboard is that they put the “fn” key to the left of the left “ctr” key and it took me a few weeks to get use to that. I’ve never had a faster computer. I run build Django applications in docker containers, which eats up ram, I have yet to choke the memory on this computer with one of my projects. I’ve always thought the thinkpad logo is a little dorky and is trying to hard with that red light on the hood, but after using the machine for a few weeks I have to say I dig the light and have developed some respect for the logo/light situation.Things to know: this laptop has 1 HDMI port and 1 c-type thunderbolt port. Thos c-type port is the type that does more than data/charging. My last latop’s c-type port was useless, this latop’s c-type port handles multi-video. You need a c-type to dual HDMI adapter (around $20), but you can have up to 4 screens and it’s awesome. You can play games but the graphics card is an integrated graphics chip not a standalone card and this is a work machine more than for gaming so you have to stick to low graphics options like League of Legends or old games like DC Universe Online.Onboard Camera and dual microphone are above average.Overall, I wish I had gone with the newer AI integrated version of the thinkpad but this laptop is phenomenal and my new favorite.
