THE best Matte screen protector, period.
You can stop looking now. This is the one.First of all, ignore the reviews that say “it’s not anti-glare,” “it’s still reflective,” etc. These people had the wrong expectation for what anti-glare does, which is REDUCE glare, not eliminate it. The only way you will completely eliminate glare from glass is by painting it with Vantablack.Now, let’s talk about the screen protector itself.Pros:- Reduces glare and reflections enough that I do not have to look at myself every time the screen goes dark, and I can play in a well-lit room without glare or reflections.- Matte texture is fairly light, meaning that there is very minimal “rainbow effect” that you get from all matte surfaces (including etched glass – this protector is only slightly worse than what is produced on the Steam Deck).- Slightly deeper blacks, colors (in my opinion) look a bit “better” (more on this below).- Near-perfect screen coverage; perhaps 0.2mm of bezel on each side.- Guide fits properly to this protector and does not leave any more bezel on one side than another.Cons:- Does cause a very slight “rainbow effect.” If there was a matte option with even lighter matte texture, I would use that, but again, this is by far the least I have seen in a matte protector.- Very very slight softening of the image, again present in all matte surfaces. Some might argue this to be a slight positive, as it is basically a poor man’s free AA.- Reduces brightness of the display slightly. You can compensate for this by turning off the auto-detection of light on the Switch and manually setting it higher. Your maximum possible brightness is slightly lower than with no protector or a glossy one, so if you need absolute maximum brightness, you may be disappointed (again though, this is true for all matte surfaces).- Holds on to grease a bit more than a glossy display. Just keep your hands clean.At the end of the day, glossy vs. matte is a choice, and one you have to make for yourself. Personally, I mostly game indoors or in the shade, and I am very satisfied with not having to look at myself, and not having visible reflections, at the cost of only very slight quality loss which I am used to due to all of my devices being matte. If you play outside in direct sunlight a lot, you may find it does not solve glare as much as you would like, but even at maximum brightness with no screen protector, the Switch really does not do well in bright environments anyway. It would for sure be easier to see with this than with a glossy or no protector.Honestly, I wish I could get protectors from this brand for all of my devices, because it is by far the best I have used. If you aren’t happy with this one, anything other than premium etched glass or glossy is probably just not for you.

Makes the screen blurry, but alignment frame is nice
The alignment frame makes the install super easy, but the anti-glare protection makes the screen noticeably blurry. I use anti-glare screens on all my devices and have used them from many different companies, none of them have ever made the screen blurry like this one does.

Au départ, ma Switch OLED avait un verre trempé standard d’excellente qualité, dont j’étais entièrement satisfait. Mais après avoir essayé l’écran anti-reflets du Steam Deck de 512 gigas, c’était difficile de retourner sur la Switch et son écran brillant et qui reflète tout ! Je n’ai aucun problème avec mon apparence, mais faut avouer que voir ma propre tête en gros plan à chaque écran de chargement et à chaque passage un peu sombre d’un jeu est très désagréable, et brise pas mal l’immersion. Et puisque je suis un joueur exclusivement diurne, ça peut devenir un peu saoulant d’avoir une moins bonne vision de l’écran dès les premiers rayons de soleil.Grand atout du produit, le cadre ; il est très pratique, se clipse facilement autour de l’écran et ne bouge pas d’un pouce. à partir de là il s’agit surtout de ne pas laisser passer de poussière sur l’écran. C’est précisément ce qui m’est arrivé au premier essai ; la pose était parfaite, mais en plein milieu de l’écran, un cheveu, un poil, un truc me narguait ! J’ai donc retiré le premier verre trempé, avec haine et dégoût. Dieu merci, il y en a deux dans la boîte pour parer aux éventualités ! Cette fois-ci j’ai eu de la chance, la pose s’est encore une fois bien passée et aucun cheveu/poil/truc sous la vitre. Alléluia !Après inspection, je n’ai pas l’impression que la qualité d’image soit affectée. En me penchant très, très près sur l’écran, je peux y voir une différence, mais si vous êtes une personne saine, vous jouez avec l’écran à une bonne vingtaine/trentaine de centimètres de vos yeux. Et à cette distance, la qualité d’image est exactement la même.Le traitement anti-reflets est très efficace, je vois toujours mon visage pendant les écrans noirs oui, mais en beaucoup plus flou. Et en plein gameplay, je ne vois plus rien, tout court. Parfait donc ! Pour la comparaison, l’anti-reflets est comparable à celui sur le Steam Deck, il est même plus efficace !Bref, je recommande les yeux fermés, si je le pouvais je mettrais même 6 étoiles.
