Compatible with HP laptops, MacBook® computers, and other notebooks (2), this USB dock is great for organizing your desk with its small footprint and single-cable set-up. Whether it’s displays or other electronic accessories, your universal dock will assist with charging, data transfers, and networking between devices. (1) For USB-C® functionality, host PCs must support the DisplayPort™ Alt mode protocol through its USB-C® port. Thunderbolt™-enabled notebooks will function at USB-C® speeds. Charging and port replication is supported on notebooks that have implemented USB-C® industry specifications. Power button to turn on or wake the system, Wake-on LAN from warm and cold dock, Wake-on LAN from S4/S5, and MAC Address Pass-Through in S0, S3, S4, S5 warm and cold dock features only function on HP or HP-supported notebooks. HP does not provide Ethernet and audio drivers on Mac PCs. (2) Based on HP internal testing on select non-HP notebook models compatible with USB-C® industry standards. Certain Alt mode features are not supported, such as power button, MAC Address Pass-Through, Wake-on LAN, and OOB Wake on LAN. Nice laptop dock for 3 monitors and other accessories
Works great for my 3 monitor, 1 keyboard, mouse, speaker puck, camera, set up. I just wish it had an A/B switch to switch between two laptops. I tried configuring that another way, but it didn’t work, so I have to move a wire between the two laptops when I need to switch so it is not a deal breaker.

if you have an hp laptop, give this a try. I thought it was kind of waste and actually a little overpriced. it actually makes using the computer easier and adds to the user experience.to me this is more than a “usb hub” – it changes the way power is delivered to your computer – it connects solely through the USB-C port. it makes adding two additional monitors a breeze and while I don’t know this to be true- I think it helps the computer do the job. as a result a laptop I didn’t really like has become a tool I like using.

Buyer beware! Warranty expired 4 years before I received the docking station.
Took a chance since others said theirs didn’t work. Ordered this NEW in April 2025 and incorrectly assumed it was working since my laptop booted right up. Didn’t realize that it was only running on battery but noticed the next day that the dock wasn’t working. No power light after pressing power button.Followed the Amazon steps which sent me to the HP website for tech support. HP web site says the following:Coverage type – Factory warrantyService type – Warranty Hardware Maintenance Off-SiteStatus – ExpiredStart date – January 27, 2021 👈 Wait…What? 😳End date – January 26, 2022 👈 What the heck is going on here? 😡Time Remaining – Warranty ExpiredAmazon sold me something that is 4 years old, was broken and has no warranty for over $120????

Wish it had more usb-c ports. Only has 1. Otherwise Al seems to work well.

the design is sleek, it looks clean like the mac mini or apple TV. there is no heat problem what so ever for this dock. the single C cable provides both power and video is absolutely amazing. it works on both my mac and hp laptop.

Best Invention Yet!
Got a new job and work provided me with an HP laptop. Very used to my dual monitors on my home PC so I got this to be able to easily switch between the laptop and my PC. Great little box that everything plugs into and all I have to do is move the USB-C from the PC to the Laptop and poof!

Works great once you install the display link app, else both monitor are mirrors of the mac.Afterwards, I did have 3 independent monitors. I was in doubt concerning the claim of 144hz and 120hz, but it seems to work fine.Great companion for MacBook Air m4.
