The Best Video Mics I Have Ever Owned
I am a full-time content, creator and videographer and have owned pretty much every wireless mic system that has come out in the last five years. the problem I was trying to solve is finding one that was reliable enough and had a battery life long enough to shoot all day. I also found other options too heavy as I often clip mics onto my T-shirt. When I found the Hollyland Lark M2s I was attracted to them because of the magnetic mount and the size of the mic. It was small enough not to pull and tug on my T-shirt and allow me to inconspicuously place it on anything I’m wearing. Here’s why it has become my go-to mic for daily video content creation.Mic Size & Mic MountAt about half the size of other wireless mic systems. I am shocked at how good the audio is compared to the size of this mic. The receiver was almost, and with the magnetic clasp can be stuck on any style of shirt, or even the bill of a hat. I love the fact that they also have stickers that you can put over the logo so the simply looks like a black circle. My favorite mic design ever.Always ConnectsWith other mics, I felt like I was always checking to see if audio was recording diligently before the beginning of shoot. With these, I rarely do that because they always connect and always begin recording without any issues.Phone ConnectorI do most of my shooting on my Sony A7iv I do occasionally pick up my iPhone to record bits and pieces. The USB-C and iPhone connectors make a huge difference. They connect seamlessly and I don’t ever have to worry if audio is being captured or not. That’s really the theme of these mics. They connect without any issues and always work without fail.Battery LifeEven though I use it every day, it feels like I only need to charge this mic once a month. I have to remind myself to charge it up before I go out on important shoots because I’m not used to needing to charge. Also since I typically only use one mic, since this system has two I always have a back up that I can connect if my main mic dies.Carrying/Charging CaseI love how small the carrying and charging case is. Smaller than even the DJI mic systems I have owned. this makes it easy to throw in my camera bag and even easier to get out and use. It’s barely bigger than my AirPods case.SummaryIf you are a content creator, then this is absolutely the best wireless mic option that I have found. For the price, it’s truly unbeatable. In professional settings, people are blown away at the size and performance. This will be my mic of choice until something revolutionary comes along and knocks it off the throne. But whatever that is, it must truly be revolutionary. That’s how much I love these mics.

Love this mic, perfect for work and social media
I’ve been using this mic since the end of March and honestly I love it. I work for a home builder and I use it all the time to record our agents for Instagram and Facebook videos. It’s super small and discreet so on camera you barely notice it, which is exactly what I wanted. Sound comes out super clean and clear which makes editing way easier.I also pair it with my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and the combo is awesome. The video looks amazing and with this mic the audio finally matches, haha. No more tinny room sound or wind ruining takes. The battery lasts plenty long for me, I’ve done multiple shoots in a day and still had juice left. Connecting it to my phone is basically plug and go, no stress.It’s kinda funny because a lot of people don’t even realize I’m using a mic until they see the little clip up close. That’s how low profile it looks. But the difference in audio is night and day. I seriously wish I bought it sooner.Overall, no complaints here. Works great, sounds great, and it’s made my workflow so much easier. Easily a 5 star buy. If you make content for social or even just want something reliable for video work, this mic is a no brainer, lol.
