FIX: Hope this helps! So if you are using a webcam to stream and a capture card you need to make sure they aren’t on the same USB drive as they conflict and both try to take priority as a camera and only one will work. If you put them in different slots on the PC they will work. I streamed and this Capture card is absolutely amazing. The quality is great for picture and sound!Let’s begin here. I was extremely excited for this product as many streamers swear by it. Well when it works. The thing is, is that you need to go to the website and it doesn’t tell you exactly what to download or what’s required as there are many products. I eventually found out you need The 4K capture utility software.I got everything plugged in and it seemed promising.. I logged into my streaming sites and boom my game appeared. Everything’s working fine. Once I began going through all the options and the quality seems amazing along with the sound. No lag and the picture quality seemed great!Now here’s the problem. Once I gena streaming this box started disconnecting and reconnecting freezing my stream and cutting out the audio. I had to keep plugging it in and out, to get it going again. Then my webcam began doing the same. After HOURS and I mean hours of researching online, Google, Reddit and TikTok there was little to no help. I made several changes to my PC settings. I also confirmed it was in a USB 3.0 port. My PC is fully capable of handling this Capture Card.After about 3 days and over 20 hours of research with no progress I decided to return this box.. I also saw many other streamers experiencing this for well over the past year with no fix. I even bought a Powered USB 3.0 dock as I was made aware that this Capture Card is very demanding and some issues was that it overloads the PC. This did not even fix it. I tried to stream again with the new Powered box and the Elgato HD 60 x continued to disconnect and reconnect while my other devices remained stable and active.I tried deleting all the software and re-installing it all. Tried different ports and better quality HDMI cables. NOTHING WORKED. For being a $150 box I expected so much more and ease of use.. I’m really disappointed because when it decides to work it seems absolutely amazing but once these issues started they became frequent and un-fixable.Pros:Good quality when it worksCons:DirectionsPower driven (hard on PC’s) very demanding even for lower quality gaming.Bad supportAppears software isn’t being newly updated on site.Didn’t work

Good product, but the support and warranty leave something to be desired
Worked great for the 2 months that it functioned. The picture quality was good, there was no lag, the software worked well and was much easier to deal with than OBS. It became my go to device for playing console games on my PC without playing around with my monitor’s connections. I want to like this device but the failure after 2 months of light use, and the customer service/warranty experience has been anything but positive.I bought it because everyone was giving it positive reviews. Recently it stopped working and the device was hot.I’ve now been in contact with the ElGato support, and they have had me providng my PC specs, updating drivers, flashing my bios, providing receipts, and pictures of the device. Despite the fact I told them that the device isn’t even powering up, and that i had tried it on multiple computers, including my brother’s PC which does have a currently working elgato device that’s similar to mine. They also couldn’t explain to me how updating my nvidia driver or my bios would make the device work when it was just working a few days ago. So maybe the device is good when it works and doesn’t have issues, but even when the device has simply failed, they still want you to go through all these pointless software updates before you can exercise your warranty. Overall a very frustrating experience.–EDIT UPDATE 10/22/25–After much tedious back and forth with their tech support they finally approved an RMA and quickly delivered to me a working Elgato HD60 X. Hopefully this one lasts longer than the one I originally bought

Bought this to stream gameplay from my Xbox series x to Tipton live studio. Works fantasticly the graphics, sound and and picture quality is great, easy to set up and perfect for anyone wanting to stream
