Fast and stable, running at full XMP profile 6400MHz speeds on ASUS ROG Strix Z890-E
This RAM is working beautifully in my new ASUS ROG Z890-E motherboard at full 6400MHz speed (confirmed in Task Manager). I don’t typically overclock, but I applied just the default XMP profile in my BIOS and it is working perfectly. It’s fast and stable. With this much RAM, you may want to consider turning off memory compression in Windows 11 like I did. It saves some steps by not compressing data to save memory. Using Powershell in Admin mode: “Disable-MMAgent -mc”To re-enable memory compression, if you don’t like the results, you can revert to Windows 11 default behavior by entering: “Enable-MMAgent -mc”. To check the current status: “Get-MMAgent”This was a good value for 128GB at the time of my purchase. I have never had any issues with Corsair memory for the many years that I have been using it.Here are some of my recent components in this build, in case you are interested:ASUS ROG Strix Z890-E Gaming WiFi Intel® Z890 LGA 1851 ATX MotherboardIntel Core Ultra 7 Desktop Processor 265K – 20 cores (8 P-cores + 12 E-cores) up to 5.5 GHzCORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM 128GB (2x64GB) 6400MHzSamsung SSD 9100 PRO 4TB, PCIe 5.0×4 M.2 2280, Seq. Reliable Brand, Reliable Performance
Purchased in August. Have never had a problem with Corsair ram once in my life. You pay a premium but now that piece of mind is worth it to me. Running on a rig with a brand new Corsair HX1200 psu (my last one lasted 10 years and is still going strong in my little brothers box), a 9900X3D, Samsung 990 m.2 2TB system SSD, 5090 FE card, and a Gigabyte Aorus B850 Mobo in a Fractal North Mid ATX box. Went very low key with a steathy look and the ram absolutely fit in aesthetically. Performance wise it’s absolutely rock solid. With this much ram I always turn off memory compression but YMMV so do whatever works best for you. I was gonna hold off in August waiting for a sale but said forget it it’s premium brand, a lot of RAM and the 64GB sticks give me the option to update to 256 if I need it. Which I doubt. My compilers rarely are bottlenecked by ram and the 5090 is a beast. And thank God I did buy. $1450 dollars right now on other sites fir this configuration. The AI “revolution” hit cards, and once that eased up now has skyrocketed the price of ram. Wish I had bought ten sets now. Nice and stealthy with no RGB crap. Does it’s job queitly and efficiently. See video for look inside case.

Works well on MSI PRO B860-P WIFI motherboard with Intel Ultra 7 Processor 265 (20-core)
Works well in my setup. I couldn’t find this exact memory at the MSI web site’s Qualified Vendor List (QVL) but it hit all the specs so I tried it. Did the windows memory test (several hours) after enabling XMP and no problems.I didn’t turn off windows memory compression, and when I check task manager it’s only compressing miniscule amounts (like 70MB) even when I’m running a large project that is using most of the memory. I don’t see any point in turning it off because it would only take the CPU a nanosecond to handle a tiny amount like that. The OS seems to know there is a huge pool of RAM and automatically throttles down memory compression almost to zero. Or is this because Windows Home edition only wants us to have access to 128GB? I don’t know. Maybe it stopped compressing because of the OS’s built-in memory throttling.Windows home edition only allows for 128GB of ram, so in the unlikely event I ever want to install more, I wouldn’t hesitate to get two more of these sticks, but honestly I don’t see myself paying Microsoft’s extortion fee to upgrade to Windoze Pro to do it. I’m not sure if I’ll ever need more than 128GB, it takes a big project to fill up 128GB and it’s bottlenecked anyway because the real magic happens on the GPU’s VRAM. So not an issue for me but make sure you check your Windows version before you buy two of these kits (four sticks).I flashed the BIOS with latest update before I installed this RAM and then turned XMP on and it runs full speed at 6400 MT/s without any problems. The BIOS doesn’t natively push it to 6400 without enabling XMP.So final verdict is that this memory performs as advertised and 128GB is probably more than most people need, Windows Home won’t use more anyway, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go to 256GB worth of these sticks if I ever needed it.

Works on AMD.
Tested using an AMD Ryzen 9 9950x3D. 128GB at high memory speeds. Incredible.Critical: Extend the memory training time length. Takes me 10 minutes to cold boot but it is worth it, tight timings. Will update with my settings when I get everything perfect. Eat your heart out G.Skill.

PC Ram
Great stuff no problems. PC running much faster and smoother

Price could have been a lil better.

It works.
Not much to say. The memory works well. If you do install more than 128 in your system and you’re using windows, then you will likely need to ensure you’re using the pro OS to enable more than 128.

Good ram but is it $750 good??
I bought this ram kit for $350 two months ago… and now it’s $750??? It’s fast, but is it $750 fast??I was going to buy another set of these but I think I’ll hold off until prices come down

Works well with Asrock X870 Pro RS motherboard. I had 2x48GB, 6400 MT/s of the same brand and it was working fine at 6400 MT/s, however this 2×64, 6400 MT/s can only achieve 6200 MT/s. 6400 MT/s results either in early freeze or not booting at all.Memtest shows no errors. I’m not too bothered about 200 MT/s loss as I’ve gained additional 32GB of memory for LLM related tasks. Also, unfortunately this 2x64GB pair couldn’t work together with the previous 2x48GB one despite being the same make and very similar spec. Could be CPU related, but 128GB is still plenty enough.

It works good

Unstable. Frequent memory corruption. Not sure if I got a bad batch or same issue with all of them.Running on MSI Z690 with the latest bios.Memtest86 and ramstresstest shows many errors as well. Memory mismatch etcI was running a dual rank Trident 6400mhz before without any issues.

Difficult to run stable on Ryzen 7000. Activated XMP and put manually voltage and timing. Dropped to 6000mts and seems stable now. Not for a beginner.
