Perfect for headsets without a mic
Good audio quality, magnet holds mic on strong. Have had no issues with it at all for more than 6 months now. Would definitely buy again.

One of the cleanest mic’s I have ever owned. Super easy mounting and setup.
Crystal clear sound and very sensitive. Yeah, I use my Stax 700 for gaming. Why not? I also have the wireless version, which is on its second battery. Both are epic.

Great sound an outside noise blockage
Great sound, hides background noise. No cross talk because its usb. Wish mute button was a bit lower on the cord.

Good product.
Works well, has good quality audio, just wish the cable was at least 30% longer.

The BEST headset mic in the world? Probably!
This is by far the best headset style mic I’ve ever used, and I’ve used quite a few, from low to high end. The quality will blow you away, as it should, considering the higher price. Installing this on my mic-less headset was a breeze – I really like the magnetic attachment, as sometimes, it’s nice to remove the mic and set it aside. The build quality is also fantastic, and I don’t foresee any issues there. The included mute button is useful and has played nice with a variety of operating systems. No negative notes, really – this is simply a must buy if you need a headset mic and want the best on the market. There is likely no other headset style mic that sounds this good. A+++.

great sounding mic. Build could be a tad better
First off love the mic and the quality it gives during my chill relax survival gaming streams and frees so much space off my desk So goodbye lame bulky boom arms and studio mics.Sadly it does not work well with my Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX Headphones. So i ended having to use 2 of those adhesive pads to get the mic stuck to my headphones. Used one of the spare pads and stuck it right on and then proceed to place the mic over that one and held there. it worked but it be nice if pads were a lot stickier and base a little wider for the pad size increase so the mic can be placed correctly on all headphones.Third: That part of the mic in the picture just wanna ask … Why? why is it a screw plastic cap? it could of and should of been just one solid piece. if you unscrew it WHICH btw was barely screwed to the base as is, the mic can be pulled from the base. Thankfully there is superglue LULover all i am happy with this product and still give 5 stars. will buy again if current one breaks

Great sound out of the Box
Great mic! Just gonna need an AI noise cancelation if you plan to use in a loud call center environment…… try Krisp or GG sonar by steel series

Disappointingly excited to take this thing off of my headset.
I was disappointingly excited to take this thing off of my headset. The audio quality is fine. Setup was easy enough. No complaints there. As others have mentioned, it’s pretty easy to knock off thanks to weak magnets.I bought this in hopes that it would offer some amount of room rejection and have a super tight pickup pattern. In this regard, it failed entirely. With a side by side “his/hers” desk arrangement, I couldn’t get it to a point where I could speak and be heard clearly without this modmic picking up my partner’s voice just as much. The whole goal was NOT having to rely heavily on push to talk.Aside from that functional disappointment, the cable is quite short and essentially requires an extension to reach a computer from a modest distance.Having the cable clipped to my headset was also sensory hell. It kept bunching up and getting mildly tangled. The rubbery texture of the cord makes untangling it a pain.Attaching the modmic also essentially makes your headphones non-removable from the desk. I needed to move my headphones to another desk briefly, got frustrated with the extra hassle, and removed the modmic from the headset.I haven’t decided if I’ll return it yet, but I won’t be daily driving it on my main desk any time soon.

I really didn’t want to go down the ModMic route, but unfortunately there’s not many alternatives solutions. For context, I have a pair of Arya Stealth headphones, and was using a Meze Boom Mic. This worked well for the most part, but the mic often got in the way, and there was a little crosstalk or sound leakage being picked up by the mic (not sure which, but annoying for other people nonetheless). Looking into alternatives, the options were basically a ModMic, or expensive clip-on mics, and obviously I went with the ModMic.Firstly build quality. It’s simply a USB mic with a magnet and sticky tab, so there’s not really much to describe. The magnet is quite strong, so I was a little concerned having it near the headphone driver, but I’ve not noticed any adverse effects. The mic arm is held in place by a plastic cap screwed onto a plastic vice which feels a little cheap, so I’m a little concerned about it surviving long term. In theory you won’t need to mess about with it more than once or twice though, so it should be okay. There’s 5 little plastic clips to attach the ModMic to your headphone cable, which are a little finnicky to get on, but do the job.Regarding the magnetic attachment, it has 4 grooves, so you can basically have it forward or up. This works surprisingly well, but can get caught on the headphones. The magnet gives it a little flexibility, so hopefully this doesn’t slowly peel peel away the sticky tab.Audio is decent for a USB mic, and fairly sensitive so you don’t need to worry about having it inside your mouth. The boom arm is quite stiff though, so I’d suggest looking in the mirror to help line it up with your mouth rather than try bending it in place. The mic is unidirectional, so won’t pickup much background noise, but definitely needs some proper noise cancelling (Discord for example has this built in).If you’re wondering whether to go for this or the 3.5mm version, I would recommend this – comparisons on YouTube show this version has better audio quality. The only reason you’d go for the 3.5mm version is if your device doesn’t have USB ports. It also has a little mute button that’s fairly clicky and lights up when it’s muted, which is nice.Overall then, an expensive solution to a frustratingly simple problem. It does what it does well at least.

I couldn’t find any other solution similar to this or any great headset for both music and meetings so I’m using my Bose with this mic.Works very well
