Solid Well Built But 4 Stars Because…
Items works well if you have a good program to help define.I have been using cameras along time and dozens of webscam, at 19.99.I figured give it a try. Its build well has a camera mount that is not seen if pictures means you can use stands and this is a huge plus.The color is slightly off and is why 4 stars. I found no zoom which also is why 4 stars.Its solid and not flimsy. I was replacing my C920 that just wont work on Win11.This however was a simple plug and play.I love the privacy shield. I did notice the Mic stay on while the camera is plugged in. Therefore I went indevice manager and disabled the microphone. When ever I see overseas electronic leave something on.My trust goes down. I can not say something shady is happening. Its just my own caution.I like it allot and will use it for demos on Youtube, I bought another one after this. So I can us eit and like it.But having a zoom and better color would be nicer.

Great Nintendo Switch 2 camera option!
I tested a few different webcams for my Nintendo Switch 2 and this was a great option! I had originally went with the Piranha Plant made by Hori and it was terrible. This camera doesn’t constantly autofocus as others I tried did. Great picture quality with a huge FOV I hat captures our entire living room. Great color and frame rate as well. If your looking for a great NS2 camera option, this is it!

Unacceptable color rendition
I’m seeing unacceptable color rendition on Linux (both OpenSUSE 15.6 and Fedora 42) with this compared with a different, lower priced webcam I bought several years ago that renders colors well (I use that webcam on my work laptop and the new one on my personal system, both at the same location). With this camera I’m seeing very warm hues that can’t be corrected for white balance using guvcview, and very high contrast that again cannot be adjusted sufficiently.With the other camera, when I start guvcview the color starts similar, but over a period of several seconds it corrects itself. This camera does undergo some adjustment at startup, but does not correct the colors. This is obviously not appropriate for professional use. I’m hoping this is just a bad unit, because the camera is otherwise well-constructed and perches securely on top of my monitor.I have also tried it on a Mac running Sequoia (10.6), with the same problem.Furthermore, the camera does not appear have a field of view of 90 degrees. At a distance of approximately 8″, the horizontal field of view was approximately 12″. A little trigonometry yields a horizontal angle of about 75 degrees. That is wide angle (equivalent to about 24 mm on a full frame camera lens), but that’s rather less wide than 90 degrees (equivalent to 18 mm).The mic is fine, although I have not yet tested how well it rejects sound from my speakers (placed behind the monitor).

The image and color quality isn’t so great, and I definitely appear more yellow/green during the day. However, I really do like the wide angle it gives.
